Thread color for embroidery will have more of a monochromatic look to match the color sweatshirt.
For best results, I recommend laundering your item in cold water using the gentle/delicate cycle or hand wash. Hang the item to dry or lay flat. A warm iron may be used to remove wrinkles if needed
